Vernon Adams Jr. joins the #symmetryteam

Oregon QB Vernon Adams Jr. has signed with the #symmetryteam for representation. We are excited to be working with Vernon, who was one of the most prolific QB’s in recent college football history. Vernon had arguably the best performance in a college all-star game ever with his 6-9 191 yards 3 TD performance in the East-West Shrine Game, which earned him the Most Outstanding Player award. Walter Powell signs with Bills

Walter Powell has been signed to the Buffalo Bills 53 man roster. He will take over both the kick return and punt return duties, along with contributing as a receiver. Walter is considered one of the top returners in the NFL, and he should be able to contribute to the Bills immediately.

Matt Paradis named starter in Denver

After the Broncos’ 2015 training camp and preseason concluded, Matt Paradis was named the starting center for Denver. Matt was able to beat out his competition at the position with his impressive training camp performance, coupled with his strong preseason play. He’s had a strong first quarter of the season so far, and looks to continue to contribute to the Broncos’ winning ways going forward.

Matt was drafted in the 6th round by the Broncos in 2014. He played his college ball at Boise State University, where he was a standout player and leader. The future is bright for Matt, and we are proud of his accomplishments.

We Remember Adrian Robinson Jr.

Our dear friend and client, Adrian Robinson Jr., passed away May 16, 2015. Adrian was a beloved father, son, brother, teammate and friend to many. His sudden passing saddens us immensely, but we will always remember him for his contagious smile, unrelenting work ethic, and playmaking ability. Adrian was one of our agency’s first clients, and he will forever remain a pillar of what this company represents.

Ross Scheuerman signs with Steelers

Shortly after the 2015 NFL Draft concluded, RB Ross Scheuerman signed a free agent deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Ross is excited to join the Steelers, and should immediately bolster their backfield and special teams units. He chose the Steelers over several other teams in free agency, because he believed it was the best fit for him.

Ross was a standout RB at Lafayette College amassing 3,504 career yards rushing and 31 rushing touchdowns. He also had 129 career receptions for 1,179 yards and 8 receiving touchdowns. Darrion Weems re-signs with Cowboys

Darrion Weems has signed an exclusive rights free agent deal to return to the Dallas Cowboys in 2015. During the Cowboys 2014 training camp, Darrion was injured, forcing him to the injured reserve list for the season. He has fully recovered from his injury, and will be a full participant in the upcoming organized team activities. The Cowboys are excited to have Darrion back and believe he can be a key contributor in the upcoming season.

Darrion is a talented offensive lineman, who has the versatility to play anywhere along the offensive line. The Cowboys signed Darrion off the Denver Broncos practice squad on December 5, 2013, and he has been part of the Cowboys 53 man roster ever since. We are excited for Darrion’s opportunity with the Cowboys in 2015, as he competes for a spot on an offensive line unit that had a productive year last season.

Ross Scheuerman joins Symmetry

Record-setting Lafayette RB Ross Scheuerman has joined the Symmetry team. Ross had an outstanding college career at Lafayette, amassing over 3,500 rushing yards and 31 rushing TD’s. Ross is also an exceptional receiver, who had 129 receptions for nearly 1,200 yards and 8 TD’s during his career.  Ross’ elite speed makes him a very dangerous kick returner as well. The final game of Ross’ career may have been his best, in which he rushed for over 300 yards and 3 TD’s in the 150th meeting between Lafayette and Lehigh at Yankee Stadium.

Ross has accepted an invitation to play in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl in Los Angeles, CA. The game will be played on January 17, 2015 and can be viewed on ESPN2. Beauharnais joins Redskins active roster

From the first week that he joined the Washington Redskins practice squad, Steve Beauharnais has made a positive impact with his new team. Lauded for his work ethic and practice habits, Steve led by example and was even awarded a game ball by the team for his major contributions to the Redskins’ ability to prepare. Now that he has been activated, he has been a key contributor on several special teams units. Walter Powell acquired by Jets

The New York Jets claimed Walter Powell on September 1, 2014, which gave an instant boost to the Jets receiver group. Walter was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2014 NFL Draft. He had a very productive preseason, in which he excelled both as a wide receiver and returner. Prior to the 2014 NFL Draft, Walter took an official visit with the Jets, where he impressed the coaching staff with his ability to understand their offensive concepts.

Walter participated in the 2014 NFL Combine, where he performed well overall in the drills and impressed during interviews. Walter had an outstanding career at Murray State as both a WR and returner. In his career at Murray State, Walter had 208 receptions for 2,650 yards and 29 touchdowns in 43 games played. Also a dangerous returner, Walter added 3 punt return touchdowns and 1 kickoff return touchdown in his collegiate career.

Walter is excited about his new opportunity with the Jets, and plans on taking full advantage of the opportunity. Walter stated, “I am blessed to be part of the Jets organization. I came in here for a pre-draft visit, and I really felt like I hit it off with the coaching staff. I’m just looking forward to going out and competing every day and perfecting my craft.” Walter also added, “I would also like to thank the Arizona Cardinals organization for drafting me and giving me the opportunity they did.”

The Arizona Cardinals selected Murray State WR Walter Powell with the 196th pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. “I heard I was one of those guys they liked at receiver,” Powell said. “I kind of had it in the back of my head that the Cardinals were going to draft me.” Head Coach Bruce Arians commented that Walter is “as physical a wideout as there was in the draft.” Walter was excited to be selected by the Cardinals, saying it was “a dream come true.”

In his career at Murray State, Walter had 208 receptions for 2,650 yards and 29 touchdowns in 43 games played. Also a dangerous returner, Walter added 3 punt return touchdowns and 1 kickoff return touchdown in his collegiate career. Walter said that the Cardinals “liked my ability to make guys miss, and my ability just to catch the ball and get straight upfield and to just be a playmaker.”

Walter is not the first WR to be drafted in his family. His brother, Brandon Williams, was drafted in 2006 by the San Francisco 49ers. Walter is a native of St. Louis, MO, where he attended Hazelwood East High School.
